ItemAn intervention to improve students' class engagement of art department in China(Bangkok : Assumption University Press, 2022) Chen, Chi ; Rawin Vongurai ; Somsit Duangekanong ; Papitchaya WisankosolThis paper aims to enhance student class engagement. The four objectives of the action research are as follows: 1)To diagnose the current situation of the focal organization on student class engagement, 2)To design and implement organizational development intervention (ODI), 3)To determine the differences between pre-ODI and post-ODI of students’ autonomy, relatedness, usefulness, interest and student class engagement, and 4)To investigate the relationship of students’ autonomy, relatedness, usefulness, interest and student class engagement. The target group is the 45 students who study “Visual Communication Design” major in Art Department of Heilongjiang International University in China. Mixed research methods are adopted to collect and analyze the data. The Pair sample T-test shows that there is significant difference in students’ autonomy, relatedness, usefulness, interest and student class engagement between pre-ODI and post-ODI. The studies show that there is a positive relationship between students’ autonomy, usefulness, interest, relatedness and student class engagement. The qualitative analysis of students’ reflection reports and classroom observation feedback by three instructors justified how the ODIs employed in this research. Based on the findings, further actions should be carried out to have a greater impact on the long-term development.

ItemEnhancing supportive leadership, affective organizational commitment, and work engagement: a participatory action research approachThis participatory action research aims to enhance work engagement and affective commitment by designing and delivering the necessary organizational development interventions (ODIs) at the focal company, the Gold Power Company Limited (GPCL). The researcher employed action research method to answer three objectives, comprising 1) Diagnosing the current situations of supportive leadership, affective organizational commitment, and work engagement at Gold Power Company, 2) Designing and experimenting with the ODIs of supportive leadership, affective organizational commitment, and work engagement, and 3) Measuring the effects of ODIs on supportive leadership, affective organizational commitment, and work engagement. The research site is at Gold Power Company, Myanmar, involving the managers (n=50) who are full-time employees. This study employs quantitative survey research method with the use of structured questionnaire with 5-point Likert scale as research instruments, where the instruments are validated and tested with Cronbach Alpha Co-Efficient. The results indicate that the ODIs have improved supportive leadership (P=0.000), Affective organizational commitment (P=0.000), and work engagement (P=0.000). The recommendations include 1) providing more leadership training to enhance supportive leadership and people-oriented leadership behaviors, 2) encouraging middle managers to use more of supportive leadership behaviors, 3) suggesting HR department at GPCL to inspect affective organizational commitment and work engagement level routinely, and to include leader’s supportive behaviors as KPIs in performance appraisal.

ItemEnhancing teachers engagement in Heilongjiang international University through organization development interventionThere are three goals of this action, including 1) To analyze the current situation of teachers engagement in Hei Longjiang International University (HIU), and the main factors affecting the engagement of teachers, 2) To Implement organization development intervention (ODI),3) To examine the impact of pre-ODI and post-ODI in teachers intrinsic motivation, teaching performance, immediate supervisor leadership and teachers engagement.This project involves two department of HIU, with a total of 60 people.This study used both qualitative and quantitative research methods. This study conducted data acquisitions by structured and semi-structural questionnaires. In pre-ODI, Reliability and Validity analysis were used to conduct that teachers intrinsic motivation, teaching performance, immediate supervisor leadership all have significant correlation with teachers engagement. The Paired Sample T-Test was used to make sure that there is a or no significant difference in each variable after ODI. Studies have found that there is a significant difference inteachers intrinsic motivation, teaching performance, and immediate supervisor leadership and teachers engagement between pre-ODI and post-ODI. According to the above results, the AI, training, team building that we used have achieved the expected results.Therefore, it is recommended to increase the training efforts, strengthen team building, and stimulate teachers intrinsic motivationto enhance teachers engagement in HIU.

ItemExploring the factors influencing an organisation in Thailand to adopt cloud computing platformsThis research is aimed to explore the factors influencing organizations in Thailand to adopt to cloud computing platforms. The study was conducted utilizing the theory of planned behavior (attitude toward the behavior, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control) with an additional factor known as the perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and satisfaction to predict companies' intention to adopt to cloud. The research was conducted as a quantitative analysis with descriptive and inferential research with a sample size of 284 respondents who have had some experience with cloud computing services. The results of this research were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression. The finding shows most of the variables have significantly influenced cloud adoption intention. Interestingly, technology impacts perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use as well as satisfaction. There is a need for proper knowledge sharing, training for Thailand people to use cloud computing platforms.

ItemFactors affecting intention to purchase decision energy drink in ThailandThe energy drink business is fastest-growing product category in the beverage market. Refer to globalization, energy drink products are market as an alternative to carbonated products, and it is the opportunity switch from carbonated product to energy drink category in over the last few years. In Thailand perspective, the energy drinks industry grew at a CAGR of 5.8% between 2018 and 2019, THB 22.1 billion in terms of sales value (AC Nielsen, 2020), and there are many companies in this market. Therefore, this market is very competitive and there are various factors affect intention to purchase decision energy drinksin Thailand. The main purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting intention to purchase decision energy drinks in Thailand. The questionnaire was distributed to people who are Thai about 400 participants. Moreover, convenience sampling, which is a non-probability sampling method, is used for the sampling procedure with analyzing the level of impact toward independent variables (product, price, place, promotion, and subjective norm) to the dependent variable (purchase decision). The results of this research indicated that three independent variables, which are product, promotion, and subjective norm, had significantly affecting intention to purchase decision energy drink in Thailand. Therefore, the energy drink business should focus more on the product, promotion, and subjective norm, which creates more attracted to purchase the product.

ItemRefining employee turnover intention through organization development interventions: an action research on water filtration enterprise in BangkokThe objectives of this research are to analyze employee turnover intention, to observe the determinants on employee turnover intention, and to develop organization development interventions to reduce employee turnover intention of sales department of a water filtration enterprise in Bangkok. The action research is conducted in three stages: pre-ODI, ODI, and post-ODI. One hundred samplers from the sales department of a water filtration enterprise in Bangkok are involved in the data collection and organization development intervention procedure. Data is analyzed by the observation of Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D.), and Multiple Linear Regression (MLR).
