ItemA development of ICT competency leadership model for teachers in Saint Gabriel's foundation schools of Thailand(Assumption University, 2012) Verayuth Boonpram ; Assumption University. Graduate School of EducationThis research aimed to (1) explore and (2) design the information and communication technology (ICT) competency leadership model for teachers as well as to (3) find out its efficiency and (4) propose it to maintain the high-academic profile of Saint Gabriel’s Foundation schools of Thailand. A mixture of qualitative and quantitative research designs using the five ICT indicators namely hardware, software, ICT communicative tools, teaching and learning and ethical standards were applied. The 4Is theory of transformational leadership factors in correlation with the eight types of ICT leadership approaches was used in the design of the ICT competency model. The school directors from its 13 Saint Gabriel’s Foundation schools were given an in-depth interview and questionnaires were administered to those teachers who use ICT and English as the medium of instructions. Most of the respondents were female, ranging from 40 years old and above; with more than 10 years of teaching experience. They were also educationally qualified having at least a minimum qualification of Bachelor’s degree. The number of teachers was evenly distributed among the five major subjects such as English, Science, Mathematics, Computer and Social Science. The results showed that 303 teachers have been using technological media as aid for teaching while computer/laptop and internet were technological devices most commonly used for teaching and learning as well as for research purposes. The use of ICT must be enhanced and supported to promote and develop their leadership skills thus acquire competency. ICT integration in the teaching and learning process provides meaningful experiences; make the work easier using the Microsoft office and communicate and receive data worldwide. Most of the respondents have been using web browsing for research purposes, online materials for class activities, emails for sending and receiving messages, and watching movies, listening to music and reading news as a recreational form of ICT communicative tools. The respondents exhibited skills of integrating ICT in the teaching and learning process. They have employed record lesson attendance and making presentation for lectures. They have used software to enhance classroom activities and make the lesson more interesting for learners. Two thirds of the respondents agreed that professionalism was an essential requirement for being a good teacher. However, responding to the demands of the modern generation of learners with sufficient knowledge in ICT skills and healthy classroom atmosphere were primary qualifications a teacher must possess to gain competency in leadership. It was to cultivate moral values, enhance ethical standards and employ safety policies on the use of ICT resources.

ItemDevelopment of students' leadership characteristics model for international universities in ThailandThis research article aims to develop a student leadership characteristics model suitable for International Universities in Thailand students by exploring the desirable and current leadership characteristics of International University students. The research objectives are as follows. 1) To explore the desirable student leadership characteristics for International Universities in Thailand. 2) To identify the current student leadership characteristics for International Universities in Thailand. 3) To develop a student leadership characteristics model for International Universities in Thailand. 4) To verify the student leadership characteristics model for International Universities in Thailand. This study used qualitative and quantitative methods, and a sample size of 993 students was surveyed by the random sampling method. The research instruments of this study were a questionnaire, structured interview, and model evaluation form. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis, including Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and PNImodified. According to the results, the synthesis table derived nine student leadership characteristics: intelligence, assertiveness, co-operative, trustworthiness, problem-solving, self-determination, ability to achieve, adaptability, and communication. The quantitative method used a survey questionnaire for desirable and current characteristics. Later, the Priority Need Index (PNImodified) identified all student leadership characteristics as the following ranks: 1) intelligence (0.134), 2) assertiveness (0.113), 3) co-operative skills (0.105), 4) trustworthiness (0.098), 5) problem-solving (0.098), 6) self-determination (0.097), 7) communication (0.094), 8) adaptability (0.093), and 9) ability to achieve (0.090). The outcome of this study is to develop a student leadership characteristics model by using the analysis results and the concept and practices suggested by three major theories of student development. The final model provided the concept and practical activities that help promote students in each of the student leadership characteristics.

ItemThe relationship between teachers' perception towards organizational culture and occupational stress at No. 2 Basic education high school, in Insein Township, Myanmar(Digital Production Press, Assumption University, 2017) Moe, Chan Mya Mya ; Yan, Ye ; Verayuth BoonpramThe main purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between teachers’ perception towards organizational culture and occupational stress at No.2 Basic Education High School, in Insein Township, Myanmar in the academic year 2015-2016.A total of 91 full-time teachers from No.2 Basic Education High School, in Insein Township, Myanmar were surveyed for this study. The research instrument was the questionnaire that investigated the teachers’ perception towards organizational culture and occupational stress. The collected data were analyzed by using the mean, standard deviation and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.The study found out that level of teachers’ perception towards organizational culture was moderate in the school, and the level of teachers’ perception towards occupational stress was low for the school. Therefore, the hypothesis was accepted as the study discovered that a moderate negative relationship between teachers’ perception towards organizational culture and occupational stress was existing at No.2 Basic Education High School, in Insein Township, Myanmar.
