ItemAchieving satisfaction and loyalty of teacher training major students in Chuxiong, ChinaPurpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the factors influencing the satisfaction and loyalty of teacher training major students in Chuxiong Normal University. The conceptual framework proposes causal relationships among academic aspect, reputation, service quality, facility, student satisfaction and student loyalty. Research design, data and methodology: The researcher used the quantitative method to distribute online questionnaires to 500 students of Chuxiong Normal University. The sampling techniques are judgment sampling, quota sampling, convenience sampling and snowball sampling. Before collecting the data, researcher ensured construct validity by using the index of item-objective congruence (IOC). Then, Cronbach's Alpha reliability test was carried out to validate internal consistency of constructs in the pilot test. The data were analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM), including goodness of model fit, reliability and validity. Results: The results reveal that reputation, service quality and facility significant affect student satisfaction. Furthermore, student satisfaction has a significant impact on student loyalty. On the other hand, academic aspect has no significant impact on student satisfaction. Conclusions: Academic practitioners and university executives should improve student satisfaction and loyalty by promoting good reputation and evaluating the efficiency of academic program, service and facility.

ItemA comparative study of student academic achievement and satisfaction in grade 4 science under traditional instruction and cooperative learning instruction methods at Sarssas Witaed Bangbon School, ThailandThe National Education Act of B.E. 2542 (1999) as well as the Basic Education Core Curriculum of 2008 emphasize the importance of both the acquisition of the English language in present Thai society, as well as the development of 21st century skills for all Thai children. Furthermore, the Thai Ministry of Education supports and encourages cooperative learning as a way to create appealing, motivating, and meaningful learning. Unfortunately, this vision is often not shared by schools in Thailand, which prefer a more traditional instructional method. This comparative study aimed at measuring academic achievement as well as student satisfaction under two instructional methods - traditional instruction and cooperative learning instruction. The research was conducted in science grade four at Sarasas Witaed Bangbon School, Bangkok, Thailand. Science as a school subject is ideal for the implementation of cooperative learning. Indeed, science literacy develops critical thinking, analysis, and cooperative skills. A total of 122 students took part in this study over a period of six weeks during the second semester of the school year 2015. The research included six objectives. Objectives one and two were to determine student academic achievement under traditional instruction and cooperative learning instruction methods. Objectives three and four were to determine student satisfaction under traditional instruction and cooperative learning instruction methods. Finally, objectives five and six were to compare the results between the instructional methods in order to determine if an instructional method was more efficient and/or appealing. The findings of this study suggested that academic achievement of the cooperative learning group did not improve significantly. Student satisfaction was higher for the cooperative learning group than the traditional instruction group. Recommendations for school administrators and future researchers are provided.

ItemDeterminants of student satisfaction on continuing education intention: a case study of private university in CambodiaThe purpose of this study is to examine the impact of determinants of student satisfaction on continuing education intention for a master’s degree at a leading private university, locating in Kampong Cham province, Cambodia. The study was conducted quantitatively and applied the multi-stage sampling technique by employing purposive sampling, simple random sampling, and quotasampling method. A sample size of 600 students from year 1 semester II to year 4 who are studying in various majors in this private university were involved. This study adapted the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and the Structural Equation Model (SEM)to identify the relationship and the impact of determinants of student satisfaction on student’s continuing education intention for a master’s degree at a private university. The results revealed that among six determinants of student satisfaction, 4 determinants namely curriculum quality, service facility, teaching quality, and campus life & social integration have significant impact student satisfaction. Moreover, student satisfaction had significantly affected intention for continuing education. Additionally, the most significant determinant of student satisfaction is campus life & social integration, followed by teaching quality, curriculum quality, and service facility, while college administration and financial assistance & tuition costs have no significant impact on student satisfaction.

ItemFactors affecting satisfaction and trust of art students in senior high schools in ChengduThis studyaims to examine the factors affecting student satisfaction towards trust of 500 students in art education in senior high schools (grade 10-12) in Chengdu, China. The conceptual framework is developed on how image, perceived value, service performance, positive affect, social environment influence student satisfaction and trust.Research design, data and methodology:Quantitative approach(n=500)was used to distributeonline and offline questionnaires. The nonprobabilitysamplinginvolvesjudgmental sampling, quotasampling random sampling, convenience sampling and snowball sampling. Before thedata collection, Index of item-objective congruence (IOC) and Cronbach’s Alpha for pilot test (n=50)were implemented. After the data collection, researcher accounted the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Model (SEM) were applied to confirm hypotheses and goodness-of-fit. Results:The results werethat image had the strongest significant effect on student satisfaction, followed by positive affect on student satisfaction, student satisfaction on trust, social environment on student satisfaction. Nevertheless, non-supported relationships were perceived value on student satisfaction, image on perceived value, service performance on student satisfaction.Conclusions:Academic practitioners were recommended to focus on building high level of student satisfaction and trust by ensuring good social environment and facilities, high service standard, promoting school image properly and communicating efficiently.

ItemFactors influencing undergraduate students' loyalty: a study of Thai private universities offering international programsThis study aims to identify factors that influence undergraduate students’ loyalty on their universities. The focus is on the international programs offered at six prominent Thai private universities in the greater Bangkok Metropolis and the outskirts area. A quantitative survey research method was employed. The respondents were Thai and International students who are between ages 18 and 25. An online survey was conducted using questionnaire distributed to 360 students. The researcher used quota sampling method in which 60 responses were obtained from each of the six universities. Results from Multiple Linear Regression analysis indicate that university image, reputation, functional service quality and student perceived value impact student satisfaction. University reputation scores highest on the students’ satisfaction (Beta = 0.755), followed by the students’ perceived value (Beta = 0.677), university image (Beta = 0.562) and functional service quality (Beta = 0.542), respectively. Results from Simple Linear Regression indicate that university image also impacts the students’ loyalty at the beta value (β) of 0.573. The findings conclude that Thai private universities should maintain and enhance university trustworthiness and heritage, such as campus culture, to build a favorable university image. It is also concluded that university reputation has the strongest impact on student satisfaction whereas student satisfaction has massive impact on student loyalty. Students from different universities do not express loyalty differently while students of different years of study hold distinct views when expressing loyalty to their respective universities.

This paper aimed to examine the factors impacting student satisfaction and loyalty, using a case of non-teacher training major students at Chuxiong Normal University, China. The conceptual framework contained academic aspect, reputation, service quality, facility, student satisfaction, and student loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology: The quantitative method distributed online questionnaires to 500 students. The sampling techniques involve judgmental sampling, quota sampling, convenience sampling, and snowball sampling. The index approved the construct validity of item-objective congruence (IOC). For the reliability test, each construct was verified by Cronbach's Alpha coefficient values in the pilot test of 30 participants. The data were analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), including the goodness of model fit, reliability, and validity. Furthermore, structural equation modeling (SEM) was implemented to test hypotheses. Results: The findings were that academic aspects, service quality, and facility significantly impact student satisfaction. Additionally, student satisfaction had a significant impact on student loyalty. Conversely, reputation had no significant impact on student satisfaction. Conclusions: The improvement of student satisfaction and loyalty can be achieved by promoting a good reputation, strengthening the academic aspects, and enhancing service quality and facilities.
