There was gloss and glitter galore on the precincts of Assumption University and the afterglow lingers as a result of the royal visits during September 1995. Her Majesty Queen Fabiola of Belgium gracefully gave her assent to our proposal to bestow a posthumous doctoral degree on King 'Boudouin for valuable services rendered in the fields of art and social sciences and the special convocation was made doubly sanctimonious by the presence and participation, as a form of royal protocol, of H.R.H. Princess Sirindhom at the investiture. The University Councillors and executives, distinguished guests and faculty members witnessed the colourful ceremony held at the Hall of Fame, Coronation Building, Hua Mak Campus.
