Asst. Prof. Dr. Patchanee Y., Asst. Prof. Dr. Wunwisa K., and Dr. Aussama S., faculty of the School of Biotechnology, Assumption University, received an honorable mention award from RICE PLUS AWARD 2018: Innovation Rice Contest in the category of Product Concept (with academic research supports food product category). RICE PLUS AWARD has been organized annually at national and international levels by the Ministry of Commerce, Department of Foreign Trade and Institute of Agricultural Product Innovation. The awarded product is the outcome of a collaborative research project between 3 universities, namely Assumption University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. The research was funded by the Council of University Presidents of Thailand in the category of Innovation Hub-Aging Society: Start-up. Held on May 31, 2018 at Dusit Thani Hotel, the event was well attended with Director-General of the Department of Foreign Trade, guests of honor, the judges, contestants, news reporters, and was presided over by the Deputy Minister of Commerce, Ms. Chutima Boonyaprapast.
