Mr Thanisorn Sethasuphang (Big), Mr Theeradet Pakkrasae (Aem) and Mr Manapong Phromphitak (Matong) competed against seventeen schools from seven countries at this prestigious event to promote Bangkok to the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions, also known as the MICE market. This two-day event was attended by hundreds of global tourism industry leaders and thousands of tourism students throughout Taiwan featuring a busy program expertly organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). In addition to the award, Thailand’s team won the hearts of the crowd gathered at the Gala Dinner with an inspiring Muay Thai boxing demonstration.

The annual event is partially sponsored by the Taiwan Bureau of Foreign Trade and organized by TAITRA. Scott Michael Smith from Assumption University’s Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management and a team coach who shared, “We are thankful to TAITRA for their continued support and to the Rembrandt Hotels and Resorts and Anurak Community Lodge in Surat Thani, Thailand for their generous donations to cover the costs of local transportation and accommodation for the Assumption University team.
