Description
The undergraduate team, AVEM, won the first place in Toyota Campus Challenge 2016, a national competition in which 670 teams competed.
Thailand ranks second in the world in terms of the highest rate of traffic accidents. Thus, Toyota has taken initiative to do this Campus Challenge, a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility to promote road safety in Thailand.
Team AVEM has participated in this activity with unwavering energy. They first submitted their proposal back in August. In October, they entered the semi-finals in which 30 out of 670 teams were chosen. The teams had to present their proposals to the panel. They finally executed their campaign, “Save Cone Save คน”, in November. On December 16, they had their final presentation in which they won the first place. The prizes were worth about 600,000 Baht. This also includes a trip to Japan for the whole team.
The team consists of Chokechai Theerajanthasethe (Marketing), Chayakorn Suttisiri (Marketing), Krit Soparaj (Marketing) and Paul Vianney Maristela (IBM) and their advisor, Dr. Tipa Sriyabhand from The Department of Marketing, (pictured in the center). They are the only team from all entrants that used English in their presentation. The first and second runner-up are teams from Chulalongkorn and Silapakorn respectively.
Congratulations to Team Avem!
