Description
AU team wins Eco-Business Innovation Awards for the HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards 2009-2010. The team consists of Jetsadaporn, Isara, Sarayut and Adipong, undergraduate students from marketing and real estate majors. The team is awarded 10,000 baht with the package of educational trip to Malaysia.

The HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards is a business plan writing competition that rovides opportunities for local undergraduate students to demonstrate their ntrepreneurial skills, practical business knowledge and business creativity. Rolling out for 5 consecutive years, the competition is a unique education programme that aims to cultivate and inspire young people’s interest in entrepreneurship. It consists of three-rounded selection and is supported by workshops that provide participants the chance to gain indepth knowledge in running a successful company. The competition was first launched in Thailand in 2004. Since its inception, about 1,859 undergraduates, comprising close to 706 teams have taken part in the Thailand competitions. The Thailand competition had been held from November 2009 to May 2010. This year, Teams from Thammasat, Chulalongkorn win Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards respectively. In addition, to advocate business proactive roles in environmental preservation, the Eco-Business Innovation Award is specially presented to AU team for the most environmentally-friendly business plan.

To provide more opportunities for Thai students in exposing themselves into international level, Thailand Gold Award team acts as representative from Thailand to compete with champions from similar competitions held in other Asian countries for the Best of the Best Award, Diamond and Jade Awards in June 2010. The regional winner of this year is the team from Hong Kong and is awarded a business development fund of HK$100,000.
