    Defect reduction by dmaic method: a case study of a jewelry manufacturer
    This research is a case study of a jewelry manufacturerwith the purposes to solve a problem of the defect rate of resins in the modeling department. DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) was applied in the research to analyze and identify root causes of the defective resins, improve modeling processes,and reduce a defect rate of resins.Data were collected by using the data collection forms, observations, interviews, and historical data. As a result, there are eight root causes of the defects divided into four categories of the causes and effects diagram. The research wasscoped down to focus on only two categories, which are methods and manpower. Researcher proposed five solutions to solve the problem of defects as well as few control strategies to measure and maintain the improvements. Company has gained many benefits from this research. The resultsclearly indicate that the defect rate of resins decreased significantly.

    Identifying the association between supply chain integration and supply chain performance on competitive advantage among tailoring shops in Thailand

    This research paper aimsto study‘The relationship of Supply Chain Integration (SCI) towards Supply Chain Performance (SCP) and the direct relationship between Supply Chain Performance (SCP) and Competitive Advantage (CA)among small enterprises(SE).The researcher identified the managers of tailoring shops operating in Bangkok, Hua Hin and Pattaya in Thailand as the target samplefor this researchstudy. The researchwas carried out during 2019 on a convenience sample of 410respondents with data collected using structured questionnaires. Reliability of the questionnaire wastested using Cronbach’s Alpha test. The interrelationships proposed in the framework were tested using Structural Equation Modeling(SEM). The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between SCI and SCP. Similarly,SCP statistically influenced CA.

    The factors influencing the success of Railway transportation: a case study of China Railway Express

    In The Belt and Road Initiative, China Railway Express is an international railway containertransportation project, which promotes the development of trade and related industries in thecountries along The Belt and Road Initiative. In the development of China Railway Express, itstill has some problems that are barriers to its development, such as vicious competition androutes overlap. The objective of this research is to find the priority factors that influence thedevelopment and success of China Railway Express and present the developmentcountermeasures and suggestions to China Railway Express. In this research, the authorapplied the Analytic Hierarchy Process to measure and find the priority factors. According tothe development status of China Railway Express, the author found the factors that related to railway transportation from the literature. Then, the author designed the questionnaire by these factors. According to the data collection results, the author measured the factors’importance degree by factors’ weight. The factors that have high weights are priority factors,which have a significant effect on the success and development of China Railway Express. Based on these priority factors, the author proposed the development countermeasures to China Railway Express, which can be the reference to the decision-makers. The author hopesthat government should propose suitable policies for China Railway Express to improve thecurrent weakness parts to get great development and make China Railway Express a remarkable success.
