dc.description Project Coordinator, Dr Scott Michael Smith explains, “The Spirit of Hospitality process begins with a visit to the property. Using industry accepted standards that relate specifically to the property, a service audit is prepared. Working with senior management, a training program is developed to meet the needs of this dynamic travel company. The lecturers facilitated workshops that encouraged team members to work together to identify opportunities to exceed customers’ expectations and create positive memory making moments throughout the guest experience.” en_US

dc.description The win-win of this public private partnership is apparent from the deliverables. For YAANA Ventures, the good service provided be local team members is raised to the next level as their team members reaffirm their commitment to exceed expectations. For the travelers, they’ll receive excellent service, delivered by local community members in a remote and spectacular setting. For the university, lecturers gain a better understanding of the needs of tourism stakeholders and the practical applications of the theories taught in the classroom. They can share these experiences and inspire the future leaders in the tourism industry to build on the foundation of sustainable tourism development. “The best way to learn is to share the passion for excellent service among the experts and passing it to the next generation.” said Ajarn Wanwisa Khampanya. en_US
