Description
Assumption University’s Wai Kru Ceremony is organized annually at the beginning of each academic year, on a Thursday of September. The meaning of Wai Kru is for students to pay homage and express gratitude to their teachers. Assumption University is in high support of this fine Thai tradition. The ritual of the Wai Kru is solemnly performed making the ceremony meaningful for both sides - the teachers and the students. The Student Organization and academically outstanding students were honored and awarded by Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, Rector Magnificus, for their social responsibility and high achievements. The ceremony was presided over by the Rector Magnificus and well attended by Rev. Bro. Dr. Prathip Martin Komolmas, President Emeritus, Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong,Vice Rector for Moral Development Education, senior administrators, faculty members and all freshmen. The AU’s Wai Kru Ceremony 2014 was held on September 9, 2015 at John Paul II Sports Center, Suvarnabhumi campus.
