dc.description Scott Michael Smith, Course Coordinator from Assumption University’s Department of Hospitality and Tourism explains, “ Mr. Tran Tan Phu (Thomas) and Mr. You Chan did a fantastic job representing our University as they promoted Bangkok to over 2,000 travel and tourism executives.” These future leaders designed and built a trade show booth with limited resources and prepared a presentation that was judged by renowned event management experts. Lieven Bertels, Director of the Sydney Festival, who judged the competition, said “It was refreshing to see Thomas and Chan approach this project with a level of maturity that is absolutely on par with leading tourism professionals. It’s easy to predict a bright future for these Assumption University students.” en_US

dc.description Prof. Scott thanked the Tourism Authority of Thailand for having been a big help in supporting AU team to compete with other universities every year. “The international composition of our team added an extra element this year as Bangkok is our adopted home. Visitors to our booth were impressed as we are not locals but we can proudly promote Thailand, offering a unique perspective and knowledgeable advice to business travelers to Bangkok”, added Scott.
