Description
Black and white flower images has been used as my subject for this work with two main reasons. First, flower is the sym- bol for love, respect, rememberance, and many other positive meanings. Second, black and white image is the photograph- ic technique that we usually use when we want to concentrate on tone, contrast, shape, form, lines, and texture. Works of Ansel Adams, Imogen cunningham, Ed- ward Weston, and many other great mas- ters are filled up of tonality, good contrast, clarity, and detail with low ISO black and white film and supreme darkroom print- ing skill for each particular print. In con- trast with today digital technologies, many devices and applications turn digilal color images files to black and white images with one click. For Adobe Photshop, the major image editing sofware, there are many different ways to convert digital color image files from digital camera to black and white im- ages. Understanding and Finding the prac- tical process will be valuable technique for fine adjustment of black and white print- ing with the digital darkroom in order to achieve specific print qaulities that pho- tographers desire for each images.
