An Empirical Study about the Role of Personality Traits in Information Technology Adoption
This paper investigates the relationship between personality traits and their Information Technology (IT) adoption. The study used the Five Factor Model (FFM) to assess the personality of individual users who adopt social networking technologies using their mobile devices. This research is conducted among 320 social networking users in Thailand. Based on the theoretical background of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and FFM, a conceptual model is developed and empirically tested. The study found that extraversion, agreeableness are positively and significantly influenced social networking behavior. The results also reveal that neuroticism and conscientiousness are negatively associated with social networking behavior. The results of the study will help the marketers to identify target segments and implement communication tools more effectively over social networking sites.

An Overview of Digital Trunked Radio: Technologies and Standards
Land Mobile Radio (LMR) refers to the two-way radio communication system that allows users sharing the same range of frequency to communicate with the others. LMR can be roughly classified into two main systems which are conventional and trunked radio systems. In conventional system, a frequency band is permanently dedicated to a voice channel. However, using trunked radio system can increase the spectrum efficiency by having pool of frequencies which are temporarily assigned to a group of users called talk group only when required. In trunked radio system, analog trunked radio is going to be obsolete since digital trunked radio offers better functions and features in terms of voice quality, security, spectrum efficiency and cost. Hence, the commercial applications focus on the digital one. There are many digital trunked radio technologies lunched in the market. However, in this paper, only Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA), Project 25 (P25) and Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) are discussed and compared since they are developed and standardized by international standards organizations. Moreover, these technologies are chosen by many users/operators and mostly deployed in many regions across the world.

An Overview of Cell Zooming Algorithms and Power Saving Capabilities in Wireless Networks
Cell zooming has emerged as a potential strategy to develop a green communication system in our society and it has become an essential research area of wireless communication. Aiming to highlight the trend of existing cell zooming algorithms and their power saving capabilities, this paper reviews a number of cell zooming algorithms that have been proposed in the literature. Static cell zooming algorithms are effective for off-peak hours and their maximum power saving capability is 50% since off-peak duration is typically not more than 12 hours.Meanwhile dynamic cell zooming algorithms are applicable in full-day operation and they are useful not only for power saving but also for load balancing. However, on/off switching delay, signalling overhead due to traffic information exchange and how to attain information of traffic spatial distribution are existing challenges in dynamic cell zooming algorithms. One noticeable point is that relative power saving in dynamic cell zooming algorithm is less than 50% if traffic spatial distribution is considered. Since location management (LM) was designed for effectively servicing to customers, further researches could lead to work on location management (LM) based cell zooming algorithms for both effective servicing and energy saving.

Experimental Analysis of Performance Comparison on Both Linear Filter and Bidirectional Con dential Technique for Spatial Domain Optical Flow Algorithm
Optical flow is a method for classifying the density velocity or motion vector (MV) in a degree of pixel basis for motion classification of image in video sequences. In actual situation, many unpleasant situations usually generate noises over the video sequences. These unpleasant situations corrupt the performance in efficiency of optical flow. In turn to increase the efficiency of the MV, this research work proposes the performance comparison on linear filter and bidirectional confidential technique for spatial domain optical flow algorithms. Our experiment concentrates on the 3 classical spatial based optical flow algorithms (such as spatial correlation-based optical flow (SCOF), Horn-Schunk algorithm (HS) and Lucas- Kanade algorithm (LK)). Different standard video sequences such as AKIYO, CONTAINER, COASTGUARD, and FOREMAN are comprehensively evaluated to demonstrate the effectiveness results. These video sequences have differences in aspect of action and speed in foreground and background. These video sequences are also debased by the Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) at different noise degree (such as AWGN at 25 dB, 20 dB, and 15 dB consequently). Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) is utilized as the performance index in our observation.

Thailand’s ICT Readiness for the Asean Economic Community
ICT development in Thailand and the other ASEAN members must be prepared for the environment of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) which will start formally at the end of the year 2015. The Ministry of ICT in Thailand has established several ICT policies and programs for ICT administrative management in both public and private enterprises in order to create a strong network of relationships to deal with competitors in ASEAN. This study compares Thailand with the other ASEAN Plus 3 member nations based on their stage of economic development and three important indicators of competitiveness (the higher education system, technology readiness, and business innovation). The findings identify Thailand’s position with respect to ICT development relative to the other ASEAN Plus 3 nations and point to strategies and partnerships that need to be developed in Thailand in order to maintain a competitive position within the AEC.
